Our Swim School operates from our 25M sea water pool overlooking the St Kilda beach. All of our programs provide students with the opportunity to develop a lifelong connection to swimming . We have a strong focus on water safety and survival skills as well as swimming technique. Our water is derived directly from the sea, then filtered and heated to a soothing temperature for lessons. We use minimal chlorine making it suitable to those with sensitive skin. Our swimming programs run in line with the Victorian public school terms. Swimming lessons are run by qualified and caring instructors with all classes running for 30 minutes.

WATER BABIES PROGRAM LEVEL GUIDE

Get your little superstars comfortable and confident in the water with our Water Babies Program. Starting from 3 months of age, Parents/Guardians join the infant/toddler in the water for a 30-minute group class with one of our specially qualified infants swim instructors. Our Water Babies program is a great way to start your child’s aquatics learning and introduce them to water safety and familiarisation through song socialisation, water play and activities. The swim curriculum has been specifically designed around children’s growth and development. Our Program includes a 3-week rotation. This involves 2 weeks of fundamental swimming skills and a 3rd week which includes a survival and recovery class where students learn the important water safety skills, essential to your child’s swim journey. Classes are kept to a maximum of 9 per class.

3 YEARS AND UP: LEARN TO SWIM LEVEL GUIDE

Our Learn to Swim and Water Safety program is designed for children from ages 3 years and up. The 30-minute small group lessons are taught by our AUSTSWIM qualified instructors who pride themselves on creating a fun and comfortable learning environment. Our program focuses on building you child’s confidence in the water and establishing a lifelong relationship with swimming and learning essential lifesaving water safety skills. All of our levels have been names after local sea life in our very own Port Phillip Bay.

ADULT SWIM PROGRAM

Our Adult Swim Program caters for all levels of ability, from absolute beginners to those wanting to fix their technique and or train for an open water swim race! Our instructors work individually with each adult student and help build up different elements of your swimming to increase strength, cardio vascular fitness and most importantly improve technique. We have three different levels in our Adult Swim Program: Beginner, Intermediate and Adult Squad

ADULT SQUAD

1-hour lessons designed for those wanting to improve stroke correction and build stamina in the water. These lessons are ideal for those training for triathlons and wanting to refine their technique. Classes are tailored towards the students’ needs and can focus on all the Adult Advanced skills.

Maximum of 5 students per class with 1 instructor.

SWIM SCHOOL INTENSIVE HOLIDAY PROGRAM

2025 UPCOMING PROGRAMS:

Summer: Monday 13th to Friday 17th January

Winter: Monday 14th to Friday 18th July

Spring: Monday 29th September to Friday 3rd October

Our intense program is a fantastic way for students to accelerate their swimming skills and also further develop their water safety skills. The classes run for 30 mins each day for the whole week, so you would attend each day at the same time for the full week. We see many students process quickly over the intensives as they build on their skills each day.

There is the option to do 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 private sessions. Our Intense programs are very popular and book up quickly. Does this interest you?

ENROLMENTS

Enrolments can be made by completing the below enrolment & payment form online. Once submitted you will receive an online confirmation including your swim school contract.

CANCELLATIONS

Our swim school memberships are a term commitment. All swim school cancellation requests will be processed at the end of Term and need to be in writing, emailed through to swimschool@southpacifichc.com.au

 

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

Bookings will automatically renew into the next term unless we receive a cancellation request for the end of term by email.

 

SUSPENSIONS

We offer the option to suspend during term breaks for a small fee of $2.50 per week to hold your booking. We do not offer suspensions during the school term however.

 

PARKING

Swim school members can collect a voucher from reception on weekdays to receive 50% off parking. This is not available on weekends. Visit the Care Park website for pricing.

 

MAKE-UP LESSON POLICY

• You must have notified us at least 2 hours prior to the lesson time that you won’t be attending by emailing swimschool@southpacifichc.com.au

• Maximum of two make-up sessions per student per term

• Make-up classes are not permitted in the first week of term

• All make-up classes are subject to availability.

• Make-up classes must be made within 5 weeks of the missed lesson. These 5 weeks include the holiday periods.

• Make-up classes cannot be exchanged for refunds or credit towards future lessons.

• Make-up lessons can only be used with an active membership. Cancelling one’s membership forfeits all make-up lessons.
